If there’s one trend I’m living by this winter it’s monochrome outfits – brown on tan, black on grey, white on cream – you get the idea, right? I’ve always been one to mix and match, but something about the simplicity of mixing two pieces of the same color family just hits different. Classy yet trendy, this is an easy way to get the most of the pieces in your wardrobe.
In today’s look, I’ve styled a basic beige sweater with my go-to coat of the season, the “dad” coat. Paired together with this plaid skirt & off white boots, the color combination compliments each individual piece to create one cohesive look. Also! I am excited to share with you guys this adorable wool hat. I had been on the hunt to find a neutral wide brim wool hat and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and fit of this particular style. For under $30 and several color options, it’s a great staple.

What are your thoughts on the monochrome trend – would you give this look a go?
