Spring has sprung and so has spring style! There really is nothing better than pulling out your favorite dresses, wedges and accessories to welcome the season in style – or in this case, your favorite spring jacket! With the spring showers and unpredictable weather, one of my staples for this season has been this neutral plaid jacket.
For me, every season has that one go-to layering piece that completes my look. For fall, it’s usually a suede jacket, winter a leather jacket and summer, a denim jacket but for spring – I am all about the trench jackets and neutral tones that allow for the perfect transition from winter to spring and spring to summer.
My favorite thing about this jacket (and a majority of my go-to pieces) is versatility. I mean it when I say that this jacket can be worn over just about anything! Here I’ve paired it with a pearl-detail sweater, my favorite straight jeans and some classic neutral accessories for a casual weekend look. If you’re looking for a chic girly style, pair this jacket over a nude lace cami, white jeans, a pair of nude ankle strap heels and accessorize with gold-tone jewelry and a pretty little handbag for the perfect spring-time style. Lastly, one more styling option I wanted to share is a great way to wear this piece out for date-night by draping it over your shoulders and pairing with a cream sweater dress or lightweight shift dress – whichever you prefer – and a pair of ankle booties or heels. The options are endless!
The jacket runs true to size and hits me right above the knee (I am 5’7″ for reference) so for my shorter gals, it may be a bit longer. For color reference, it is a nice beige tone with cream checks and little pops of yellow and dark brown in the stripes.
