Good-morning from Dallas!
I woke up early yesterday morning, along with all the other Spring breakers as it seemed, and caught a straight line flight to DFW.
I was a little late to the Spring break planning this year, beginning my search in February, which if you’re trying to go somewhere elaborate on a budget, I don’t recommend. After spending hours and days looking up flights here, there and practically everywhere, I came the conclusion that my Spring break was going to be rather snowy over sunny as I’d be staying put right in Minneapolis. That is, until my mom brought to my attention a blogging workshop in, you guessed it, Dallas.
My first thought was, Texas? Prior to this trip, I had never set foot in the state of Texas nor met anyone from the state. Not that it’s some grandiose jump across the world, but anytime you travel to an unfamiliar destination it raises a little bit of curiosity. So, to please my curious mind, I looked into the workshop and found that it was being put on by Brooke of One Small Blonde at the We Work space in Uptown Dallas. I read through the workshop outline, what was going to be covered, read some reviews from previous attendees, did a few Pinterest searches for “things to do in Dallas,” and finally, reached out to Brooke myself with a final few questions pertaining to the workshop. The second I got off the phone with Brooke, I knew this workshop was just what I needed and that I had to go. Spring break problem solved.
I hopped back on the phone with my mom to share the news that I was more than excited to attend the workshop in Dallas. Previously saying a quick “no” to any sort of Spring break trip, my parents decided that they were going to be gracious enough to help me out with this little get-away as they, too, felt it was something worthwhile for me to experience – thank you guys so much!!
As I am sitting in my hotel room finishing up this post, I am feeling so extremely grateful to be where I am at with all of the support and love from each and every one of you. You have no idea how much it means to me to see you engaging with my content; liking, commenting, sharing, saving, DM’ing – everything! I love seeing all of it and want you to know that not a single thing goes unnoticed. I read every single DM, do my best to respond to every single one of your comments and let you know that I appreciate your support through it all. If it weren’t for my burning passion to continue to grow Blonde & Bliss and develop even more engaging content, I would not be here in the heart of downtown Dallas, strapping up my sandals (or cowgirl boots!) and heading out to this blogging workshop. I genuinely cannot thank you all enough, despite what some people say, the Instagram community is amazing – you guys rock!
Whether you, too, are headed off for Spring break or back home in your day-to-day routine, I wish you all a wonderful weekend, safe travels, and a very happy Saturday!
Wish me luck at the workshop!
xx, Jozy
