February Recap

Good Morning from snowy Minneapolis!

Just when I thought Spring was making its way north, I woke up to numerous emails and texts with cancellations due to the weather as we’re having yet another snow day! I don’t remember the last time we’ve had so much snow in just the course of a few weeks but it’s certainly making me more and more excited to escape the cold this weekend as I head to Dallas for the One Small Blonde Blogging Workshop – you guys, I can’t wait!! Before I jump into the details of my exciting month ahead, I wanted to share a quick recap of what I was up too all of February in a brief monthly review.

To think I thought January flew by, it seems like February was never even here! I kicked off the month with the craze of Super Bowl festivities, visiting the events downtown and attending the Chainsmokers concert courtesy of Strategic Socials and the 4Marq Apartments, what a night that was!

Further leading into mid-month, I had the opportunity to collaborate with some AMAZING boutiques; Konor + Knox (check out my posts on them right here + here!), XO Mandy Sue, Olive + Pepper, Urban Violet and Mailey Rose, which I am wearing in this post (outfit deets at the end of this post!) One of the most rewarding parts of being a blogger is having the chance to work with small brands and help grow their business. Each of these brands mentioned above is ran by some incredible women with such a passion for what they do, I love supporting women and their dreams!

Of course we can’t skip over Valentine’s Day… Jason and I had our first date on Valentine’s Day of last year where we went to the Downtowner in St.Paul for a nice dinner. We had gotten all dressed up and this year, we decided to do the same and make it a tradition for the years to come. Oh and might I mention, I got Jason to try my Pinot Noir and guess what… he liked it! This is a major step, fyi, as he is NOT a wine guy.. haha! If you’ve never had a meal at the Downtowner, I highly recommend for delicious local eats and perhaps you’ll get your guy to like wine too!

Towards the end of the month, I began getting swamped with school work as midterms made their way back into my life (not a happy hello…) but fortunately I’m almost done with school (six more credits!!) and am more than ready for the next phase of life, internships. That said, I’ve begun the search for internships and have applied to some exciting positions with companies that I would LOVE the opportunity to work with, more to come on that. If you guys happen to know of anyone seeking an intern in the areas of journalism, influencer PR, or the fashion industry, I’m your girl!

Coming to a close, I topped of the month of February with another Minneapolis Bloggers Meet-up at the stunning Modern Well space. We chatted about photography and tips for getting the perfect “insta-worthy” shot. It’s always so much fun spending my mornings surrounded by the amazing women that make up the blogging community here in Minneapolis, plus, the Glam Doll doughnuts are always welcome too.

Phew, what a month that was, I feel like I only touched on half of all that I was up to during the crazy month of February, but if I ramble any longer I will lose you!
