This past week I had the joy of spending my Wednesday evening with Primp Boutique by hosting their Style The Night Event! I had a wonderful night sipping on sweet white wine, mingling with their adorable employees + customers and strutting the most gorgeous hunter green dress from their newest collection. What a night it was! I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity to work with such a fabulous local company to share my passion for fashion. That said, today I am sharing one of my favorite looks from Primp for the season.
This season I am all about the leather and suede and it’s only taken two new suede jackets + two leather jackets to prove my point… But what can I say? Having chic go-to jackets is my wardrobe staple, making even the simplest outfit savvy and sleek with just the slipping on of some sleeves.
Neutral greys, natural beiges and basic blacks have been with me everywhere this fall and I can’t say I will be straying from that scheme anytime soon. Having a mix of simple hue sin my wardrobe makes me feel like I have endless options for mixing and matching being that just about anything goes with one of these classic colors.
I wore this suede beige trench jacket last weekend on my way to Detroit and received numerous compliments throughout the airport. Talk about some good word-of-mouth advertising for Primp! But beyond that, it provided just the right amount of warmth to keep me cozy both on and off the plane, because I’ll admit… after this summer abroad there is nothing I hate more in airports than constantly taking on and off a bulky jacket!
Getting down to the nuts and bolts, when shopping for statement jackets, you don’t need to spend a fortune to get exactly what it is you’re looking for. Primp’s whole gig is unique styles with skinny price tags, and this jacket is an example of just that. I love everything about this piece from it’s flattering fit and classy hue to its texture, warmth and versatility.
This post features one of many looks that this jacket can give you from cozy and cute to sleek and stylish, and that is the real deal when looking to invest in a seasonal jacket. You want something that you can mix and match with multiple pieces, a concept taken from the capsule wardrobe idea.
What are your style crushes this fall? With all the textures, cuts and trends galore, I’m sure you’ve got a fave. Mine? Suede and belle sleeves! Stay tuned…
