While in London a few weeks back, I had the greatest pleasure of being able to collaborate with my dear cousin, Merina, who is so very talented and creative – it was such a blast!
We began our shoot in the beautiful gardens of Kensington Palace where the countryside meets the city in the heart of London. The gardens were in full bloom, with colors and greens like no other, truly a stunning sight which you can see in these photos and several other posts to come … enjoy!
Baby blue is the color of the season taking a piece of the sky and putting it into the prettiest of pieces to be worn. Dresses, shorts, tops, galore – everything seems to be coming in this pastel hue.
Personally, I love this color crush. The light blue is perfect for so many seasons as it can be worn alone, mixed with blacks, browns, creams, and more. It is such a gorgeous and natural looking color that flatters nearly every hair and skin tone.
For summer, this off the shoulder dress is just what you need for a casual yet dressed up style. Easily worn to lunch or for a stroll around the park, this dress matches every occasion, all you need is the right accessories to really dress it up or down for the moment. Best of all? I found this pretty piece at TJ Maxx! I love being able to find fabulous fashions at unbeatable prices and TJ Maxx never lets me down.
Sometimes I have friends tell me that they never shop here for the reason that they feel it’s too overwhelming. My advice? For starters, go in with an idea of what you need. Consider what it is you are looking for; something casual, dressy, top/bottom, etc. – having a good grasp on what it is your looking for before heading into the chaos is a good beginning point for TJ Maxx. After you’re used to the layout of the story you can start to head in more open minded, with the mindset that everything could work one way or the other – styling can be hard to tackle, it takes time!
Lately, while shopping, I have caught myself being more and more attracted to this color without even realizing it until I’m in the dressing room with 3+ pieces in baby blue. What can I say – I’m obsessed! Some of my recent {baby blue} purchases along with this dress have included a romper from ZARA, peplum sundress, off the shoulder top and high waisted shorts… stay tuned for a collection piece on all things true and blue!
